The problem

Mealybug takes the crop you have already grown

Mealybug sucks sap from the vine, leaves a sticky honeydew and spoils bunches. Growers who have fought it season after season know how quickly it comes back.

मिलिबग ही समस्या कोणत्याही पिकात खुप भयंकर आहे. हाता तोंडाशी आलेला घास हा मिलिबग हिरावून घेत असतो.
Mealybug is a terrible problem in any crop. It snatches the morsel that has reached your mouth. (Green Care Agro field video)

It hides in the places sprays reach badly, and it can also start in the soil. That is why a soil-active, living agent is worth putting into the programme.

How Killoryx+ works

Nematodes that hunt the pest for you

Killoryx+ is built on entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs): microscopic beneficial worms that go looking for insect pests in moist soil.

  1. 1

    Seek and find

In moist soil, the nematodes actively move to locate insect pests and their larvae.

  2. 2

    Enter and infect

They enter the pest’s body through natural openings, the mouth or the spiracles.

  3. 3

    Release bacteria

A symbiotic bacterium is released inside. It kills the host within 24 to 48 hours.

  4. 4

    Reproduce and move on

The nematodes multiply inside the dead pest, then disperse to find the next one.

The cycle repeats on its own while host pests are present in the soil. It is protection that keeps working, not a one-time knock-down.

Where growers use it

Mealybug first, soil pests too

Put it through the drip line to reach the soil stages, and spray in the evening where you see it on the plant. Same dose either way: 250 g in 200 litres for one acre.

White grub in sugarcane

White grub feeds on cane roots underground, where sprays rarely reach. Nematodes go into the soil and find it.

How to apply

Soak, mix, and apply in the evening

Nematodes travel through moist soil, not dry soil, and strong sun hurts them. Apply in the evening and keep the soil moist.

  1. 1

    Soak

Soak the 250 g in water for 4 hours.

  2. 2

    Mix

Mix it into 200 litres of water. One 250 g can covers 1 acre.

  3. 3

    Apply

Release through the drip line, or spray, in the evening on moist soil.

Killoryx+ FAQ

Questions about Killoryx+

What is Killoryx+?

Killoryx+ is a bioinsecticide made of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs), microscopic worms that hunt insect pests in the soil. It is the upgraded version of Killoryx and is sold only as Killoryx+. It is used against mealybug, stem borer and white grub.

How much Killoryx+ do I use?

Soak the 250 g can in water for 4 hours, then mix it into 200 litres of water. One 250 g can covers 1 acre. Apply through drip or as a spray.

When should I apply it?

In the evening, on moist soil, away from strong sun. Nematodes move through soil moisture, not dry soil, and strong sun and dryness hurt them.

Why drip for mealybug?

Mealybug can start in the soil as well as on the vine, so growers put Killoryx+ through the drip line to reach the soil stages and also spray in the evening where they see it on the plant.

Is it made with ICAR technology?

Yes. Killoryx+ is made by Green Care Agro with technology licensed by ICAR-NBAIR, on a non-exclusive manufacturing licence.

Does it leave residue?

Killoryx+ is a living biological agent and leaves no chemical pesticide residue. Do not tank-mix it with chemical pesticides; apply them separately and ask us before combining anything.

Will mealybug become resistant?

Killoryx+ is a living biological agent, not a chemical mode of action, so it does not build the kind of resistance repeated chemical spraying can.

Where can I buy it?

Through our dealers. Send your village and crop on WhatsApp or the form below and we will connect you with the nearest one.
